How to Easily Backup Windows Registry

Every time you make changes to a Windows system, it helps you perform a backup prior to the system. Likewise, when you make changes to the registry, you should do a backup first before you make any changes therein.

 

All hardware, operating systems, software and information about computer equipment stored in the registry. Registry is the heart of the windows operating system. Here is an easy and fast to backup windows registry. No need to install an additional application to do so, only a small step that is very useful for your backup system. And do not forget, this applies to all Windows system, either Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Vista or Windows 7.
 

1. Open the registry editor by clicking Start, type regedit and then press enter. If in Windows XP, click Start, Run then type regedit and press the enter key.
 
2. Click File, then click Export.

3. Save the registry file in the folder you want.


Now, you have a backup registry that can be restored anytime. To restore, just double click the file you saved earlier.
